Job summary

LMI is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain secure cloud-native platform capabilities for a DoD partner. This remote role targets AWS-hosted Kubernetes environments connected to DODIN, requiring an active Secret clearance and availability to work across time zones.

You will automate infrastructure, manage CI/CD, onboard apps, and coordinate with cybersecurity, network and mission teams to deliver reliable, compliant platform services across development through production.

Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance is required.
Minimum 5+ years in platform/cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or related field.
Experience with systems connected to DODIN and related security requirements.
IaC and CI/CD pipelines with automation experience.
Ability to diagnose complex issues and coordinate across teams.
Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder briefs.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, configure, operate, and sustain AWS-based platform services for mission-critical apps.
Administer Kubernetes clusters, including RBAC, ingress, storage, and autoscaling.
Implement infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
Onboard and support containerized applications across environments.
Integrate platform services with DODIN network services and IAM.
Maintain secure baselines per DoD guidance and RMF requirements.
Monitor availability, performance, and security with observability tools.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, software, and mission teams.
Produce architecture docs, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
