Job summary

Clera is seeking a seasoned Platform Engineer to own core cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, and reliability for a seed-stage software company building referral and partner growth tools. You will architect and operate AWS infrastructure, implement CI/CD pipelines, and guide architectural decisions with product teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10+ years of production infra experience, deep AWS expertise, and strong IaC skills with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years owning production infrastructure.
• Strong AWS expertise and IaC with Terraform.
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts (ordering, idempotency, retries).
• Production PostgreSQL experience with migrations and backups.
• Familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js and NestJS.
• Experience with high-traffic, highly available systems.
• Comfort with AI coding tools and strong problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure across compute, messaging, storage, networking, and observability.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines from commit to production.
• Manage production PostgreSQL including migrations and backups.
• Balance delivery speed with foundational system quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape architecture and direction.
• Explore AI-assisted development tools and integrate where useful.
• Investigate distributed systems issues and deliver reliable solutions.
