Job summary

Iperium is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our growing US software company that builds facilities-management and CMMS software for large retail networks. You will own projects from design through delivery and influence the platform's architecture and engineering standards.

You will focus on hands-on work with AWS and Terraform, build reusable modules, design CI/CD pipelines, support EKS/Kubernetes/Fargate, and improve observability while applying security best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform engineering, infra, or DevOps.
• Hands-on AWS experience required.
• Advanced Terraform knowledge including modules, remote state, drift detection, and state operations.
• Experience building/troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, Fargate and GitOps workflows.
• Strong Python and shell scripting skills.
• Observability, production support and infrastructure security experience.
• Ability to own ambiguous technical problems and deliver with limited oversight.

We are hiring a Platform Engineer for a growing US software company that develops facilities-management and computerised maintenance management software for organisations with large retail footprints. Its platform helps customers manage day-to-day maintenance operations across extensive networks of physical locations.

This is a hands-on platform engineering role with a strong focus on AWS and Terraform. You will join a small team building and improving the infrastructure, automation and standards behind this business-critical platform.

You will own projects from design through delivery, contribute to architectural decisions and help shape how the platform engineering function develops.

What you’ll work on:

• Building reusable, versioned Terraform modules
• Managing and improving AWS infrastructure
• Designing and standardising CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting EKS, Kubernetes and AWS Fargate environments
• Improving observability through instrumentation, dashboards and alerts
• Applying security best practices across IAM, secrets, keys and certificates

What we’re looking for:

• At least five years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure or DevOps
• Strong hands-on AWS experience
• Advanced Terraform knowledge, including modules, remote state, drift detection, state operations and infrastructure testing
• Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins
• Experience with Kubernetes, EKS, Fargate and GitOps workflows
• Strong Python and shell scripting skills
• Practical experience with observability, production support and infrastructure security
• The ability to take ownership of ambiguous technical problems and deliver with limited oversight

  Experience with FinOps, Postgres, OpenSearch, AWS analytics services, disaster recovery, networking, AI infrastructure or Azure would be an advantage.
