Atomic Machines is building the Matter Compiler, a new AI-native manufacturing platform that converts code into working micro-machines. We seek a senior engineer with 8+ years in production software, strong Python and Go/C++, and a deep interest in geometric reasoning to join our Emeryville team.

You will collaborate with domain experts to model processes, extend capabilities to new workflows, and ensure robust, testable software for cutting-edge fabrication technology.

• 8+ years senior production software ownership and demonstrated scope.
• Deep interest in geometric reasoning: represent shapes and spatial relationships.
• Designing reusable software infrastructure, reducing complexity, and evolving systems with clear interfaces.

Mansioni

• Build and evolve Go and Python software infrastructure for representing geometric intent and generating physical-process operations.
• Develop reusable geometric representations and algorithms for shapes, regions, coordinate frames, spatial relationships, and process planning.
• Collaborate with process experts to turn tacit knowledge into explicit models, constraints, interfaces, and acceptance criteria.
• Extend shared capabilities to new processes and integrate with machine software and fab coordination.
• Test geometric and software correctness, ensure reproducibility of generated results, and validate with experts and measurements.
• Use AI throughout investigation, design, implementation, testing, and documentation; inspect changes and verify results.
