Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Software Engineer for its Platform EMEA people to help build foundations powering the developer ecosystem and reporting products. You may work on the Public API, MCP servers, integration framework, eventing platform, or data-fetching infrastructure behind Advanced Custom Reports (ACR).

You will design full-stack solutions with a focus on backend and distributed systems, serving enterprise-scale workloads with high availability and strong developer ergonomics.

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering experience with API design, distributed systems, and observability.
• Experience delivering full-stack functionality across frontend and backend.
• Expert practical knowledge of AI coding assistants such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Ability to make sound engineering trade-offs and communicate decisions clearly.
• Enterprise experience with developer platforms, integration frameworks, or analytical reporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational capabilities for Samsara’s agentic experiences and secure data discovery for AI agents.
• Design high-throughput, available, observable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Apply AI assistants (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor) across design, implementation, testing, and review.
• Improve frameworks, tooling, and engineering practices across teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
• Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally and across offices.
• Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, high-performing engineering team.
