Job summary

Airdata UAV in El Dorado Hills, CA is seeking an experienced DevOps/SysAdmin to own production environments, scale SaaS and cloud platforms, and work with R&D on distributed compute and storage.

Uses Linux-centric tooling, Bash and Perl scripting, and MySQL; you will implement monitoring, manage code repositories, and help expand backend services in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SysAdmin role.
• Expert in CentOS system administration.
• Strong knowledge in network administration.
• Fluent in Bash and Perl.
• Experience managing large MySQL deployments.
• Experience building, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining web services.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Linode and AWS.
• Experience working with large databases and data sets.
• Ability to work-well in a cross functional, fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of our production environment as well as our internal systems.
• Work with R&D to implement horizontally scaled out compute and storage resources.
• Implement various monitoring systems with performance and availability in mind.
• Manage bug tracking, build and source code repository systems.
• Contribute to expanding and scaling out our backend applications.
