Job summary

Delta Dental of California is seeking an Expert Applications Architect to design and analyze software projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy. You will socialize key architectural concepts, mentor teams, and drive standards across platforms, APIs, and DevOps practices.

The role requires leadership across multi-domain teams, experience with Alfresco CMS, Azure cloud, and a broad platform mindset.

Qualifications

7+ years experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
8+ years in design related to application implementation and software development.
5+ years in software design/development with strong knowledge of frameworks.
Expert knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation.
Experience designing and supporting enterprise platform solutions and lifecycle management.
Experience architecting and integrating enterprise apps using APIs, SOA, and shared services.
Experience with Alfresco or similar enterprise content management solutions.
Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, cloud architecture, networking, and platform services.
Ability to lead solution design from architecture to deployment and operational support.
Experience developing architectural standards, roadmaps, deployment topologies, and platform strategies.
Strong collaboration with dev, platform, security, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Performs complex systems analysis and solution design on software applications.
Creates and socializes the conceptual approach document for new initiatives.
Collaborates with enterprise architecture and development teams for strategy alignment.
Acts as an expert mentor to developers and business users.
Develops creative solutions within resources, budget, and legacy constraints.
Leads and participates in code reviews to improve quality and reduce vulnerabilities.
Assists with deep technical problem determination during outages and implements resolutions.
Develops architectural standards, deployment topologies, and enterprise platform strategies.
