Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a senior individual-contributor to architect and build a shared, full-stack platform powering analytics, digital products, and digital workers across PDS. You will create a distributed, multi-service system with an orchestration layer, autonomous agents, and reusable components in an internal SaaS/PaaS.

This role requires hands-on leadership in architecture and reference implementations, collaboration across AI, data, and UX teams, and a focus on scalable, secure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering with full-stack delivery and production experience building LLM-powered or agentic apps.
• Strong Python, including async patterns and automation.
• Production experience with async web frameworks (FastAPI or similar) and REST/event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing distributed, multi-service systems with contracts and internal platforms.
• Experience with agentic orchestration frameworks and cloud LLM providers.

Responsibilities

• Architect distributed, multi-service platforms that orchestrate autonomous services and agents.
• Design internal SaaS/PaaS with reusable components and SDKs.
• Build graph-based orchestration workflows with LLM reasoning and real-time data integration.
• Create reusable node libraries and extensible platform patterns.
• Develop FastAPI applications with real-time streaming (SSE/WebSocket).
• Implement secure, observable, and scalable platform services and MCP hosting for dual-intent delivery.
