Axos Bank is seeking a hands-on First Vice President of Platform & Automation Engineering in San Diego, CA. The role drives platform architecture across ReTool, n8n, AI layers, ODS, and API layers, setting standards and enabling scalable pod delivery.

It’s a true technical leadership position focusing on execution and consistency. You will lead Forward Engineers and Platform Engineers, shaping the AI/automation strategy and ensuring security and architectural coherence across commercial lending,

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years in software engineering with hands‑on architecture or platform‑lead experience.
• Direct hands‑on experience with low‑code/workflow automation platforms (ReTool, n8n, or equivalents).
• Experience designing and operating API layers and an ODS that multiple teams use.

Aufgaben

• Own the technical architecture of the shared platform stack (ReTool, n8n, AI layer, ODS, API).
• Set and enforce engineering standards and patterns across pods.
• Own the ODS data model and API layer decisions.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and directives.
• Lead AI-driven development lifecycle (AIDLC) across pods.
• Drive technical execution and mentor Platform Engineers across all pods.
• Maintain cross‑pod coherence and prevent pattern drift.
