Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Engineer, Plant Thermal Hydraulics Methods contractor to support the design and licensing activities for our client's Demonstration reactor. You will develop methods to perform Licensing Basis Events analyses and contribute subject matter expertise to related projects.

Responsibilities include modeling strategy development, system-level analyses, code benchmarking with IETs/SETs, and verification, validation, and automation of workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of system-level thermal hydraulic modeling experience.
• Experience with numerical schemes, closure models and verification strategies.
• Familiarity with NQA1 quality assurance for modeling workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop plant-scale thermal hydraulic analysis methods and models.
• Perform steady-state and transient system-level analyses.
• Support method qualification and performance characterization.
• Integrate closure models into existing analysis frameworks.
• Identify gaps and conduct sensitivity studies for method enhancement.
• Develop automated workflows for model setup, execution and post processing.
• Document methodologies, assumptions and numerical performance.
• Collaborate across disciplines to align with safety analyses.
• Apply SQA/NQA1 practices ensuring traceability and reproducibility.
