Job summary

Covia is seeking a Senior Plant Manager in Chardon, OH to oversee operations at multiple locations and drive safety, efficiency, and profitability. You will lead the plant steering team, manage budgets, and coordinate with Corporate and operations partners to meet production goals.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy industry with 2+ years as a plant manager, a technical/engineering degree, and strong leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree, technical or engineering major strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of related heavy industry experience.
• 2+ years of Plant Manager experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer all phases of multiple location activities and lead the plant steering team.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement programs to reduce costs and improve productivity.
• Ensure safety culture and compliance with MSHA and other regulations.
• Prepare budgets, cost controls, and reporting; coordinate cross‑functional activity across departments.
• Manage staffing, performance development, and labor relations as applicable.
