Job summary

WM in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Plant Maintenance Technician to monitor and maintain all plant systems and equipment, including balers, conveyors, motors and bearings. Lead Plant Technicians and coordinate repairs to ensure safe, efficient operation, in line with Safety and Life Critical Rules.

You will respond to breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, manage parts inventory, and mentor staff while supporting production schedules and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system failures by taking corrective action to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components.
• Provide guidance to maintenance personnel and coordinate with contractors/temporary staff.
• Inspect the quality of third‑party repairs and rebuilds; ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Manage inventory, ordering of replacement parts, tools, and supplies; conduct physical parts inventories.
