Job summary

Circular Services in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Plant Maintenance Technician to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment. The role requires independence, leadership to junior technicians, and focus on uptime and safety in a 1st shift, 9AM-6PM, full-time schedule.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and documenting maintenance actions while upholding OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment preferred).
• Experience with balers, conveyors, and processing equipment.
• High attention to prevent injury and maintain a safe work environment.
• Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping.
• Able to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs per Circular policies and OSHA requirements.
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace fixed and rolling stock equipment (balers, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, shafts, rollers, bearings, hydraulic/pneumatic systems).
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics and manuals.
• Provide training and guidance to Maintenance Technician A and B.
• Identify root causes and recommend long-term solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with standards.
• Participate in facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
• Work flexible schedule including nights/weekends for operations and repairs.
