Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Reliability Manager to lead plant maintenance, improve equipment reliability, and support a fast-paced production environment in Stockton, CA. The role requires coordinating maintenance teams, managing PMs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, troubleshooting ability, and experience in regulated industrial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance leadership experience within manufacturing environments.
• Experience working around ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Strong troubleshooting background in industrial equipment and plant systems.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, inventory/spare parts management, and maintenance planning.
• Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both plant leadership and maintenance personnel.
• Experience with OSHA safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance technicians across daily plant operations.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, work orders, and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Coordinate labor scheduling, technician assignments, and weekly payroll approvals.
• Support production by minimizing downtime and responding to equipment failures with urgency.
• Troubleshoot and support mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related equipment issues.
• Improve PM effectiveness, spare parts organization, and maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with operations and quality teams to improve overall plant performance.
• Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage outside vendors, contractors, and OEM relationships.
• Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Support and maintain PSM-related programs and procedures.
• Oversee ammonia refrigeration maintenance activities and contractor coordination.
• Develop and mentor maintenance personnel while building accountability within the department.
