Job summary

Westlake in Houston, TX, seeks a senior accountant to own the financials for a manufacturing asset, including P&L, manufacturing statements, and balance sheet accounts for the plant to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 4+ years of accounting experience, and proficiency in Excel, SAP, and BPC; CPA/CMA or a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA, CMA, or Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional working proficiency in French preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP and BPC accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting for a specific manufacturing plant, including full P&L, manufacturing statement, and balance sheet ownership.
• Prepare monthly variance analyses and reporting packages for management.
• Manage monthly forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and annual budget preparation.
• Coordinate and support activities across locations and departments, and respond to management requests.
