Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee plant and cost accounting across a multi-site manufacturing operation. You will drive inventory valuation, standard costs, variances, and monthly reporting while partnering with Plant Management to improve financial performance.

You will lead a team of Senior Cost Accountants, manage month-end closes, budgeting, and forecasting, and support ERP enhancements and internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
• ERP systems experience; JD Edwards preferred.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.
• Supervisory or leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing accounting activities including inventory valuation and variances.
• Oversee monthly inventory close and reporting of costs.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, year-end closes and financial reporting.
• Partner with plant leadership and auditors to ensure SOX compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in costing and reporting processes.
