Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. (BSAM) seeks a Sr. Environmental Engineer to ensure plant-wide compliance with environmental regulations and corporate guidelines, including air permits, wastewater, storm water, SPCC, SWPPP, and hazardous waste management.

The role leads plans to improve environmental performance while coordinating with other departments. The successful candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in environmental compliance and manufacturing operations, with 5+ years of related

Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
Experience with environmental permits and regulatory compliance is essential.
Strong technical knowledge in environmental compliance and manufacturing plant operations.

Responsibilities

Ensure ongoing plant compliance with all State and Federal environmental regulations and permits.
Lead plans to improve environmental performance in a cost-effective way.
Prepare and manage Title V Air Permits, NPDES, SPCC/ SWPPP permits and related data.
Conduct environmental inspections, audits and training.
Supervise consultants and internal staff responsible for air and wastewater quality and related programs.
Coordinate with departments on production plans and changes while maintaining compliance.
