Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Bloomington‑Normal area seeks a Sr. Environmental Engineer to assure ongoing plant compliance with state and federal environmental regulations, permits, and corporate guidelines across air, water, and waste streams.

You will lead permitting efforts, manage Title V, NPDES, SWPPP and SPCC programs, coordinate with operations and corporate teams, and drive continuous improvement and training for staff and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Strong knowledge of air, water, and waste regulations and corporate guidelines.
• Experience with permitting, compliance audits, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and permits.
• Develop and manage air, wastewater, stormwater, SPCC, SWPPP strategies.
• Prepare permits and data for Title V, NPDES, and related programs.
• Lead inspections, audits, and training; supervise consultants and staff.
• Support continuous improvement and cross‑functional regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with departments on production changes affecting environmental plans.
