Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. seeks a Sr. Environmental Engineer to assure ongoing plant compliance with environmental regulations and permits across the site. You will lead air, wastewater, and waste programs while coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

The role focuses on permitting strategy, regulatory reporting, and continuous improvement to enhance environmental performance at the Bloomington facility and surrounding operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; alternatives include 3+ years with a Master’s, or PhD without experience.
• Experience in environmental compliance and regulatory programs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air, wastewater, and hazardous waste regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing plant compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
• Lead permitting strategies for Title V, NPDES, SPCC, SWPPP.
• Coordinate inspections, reports, and internal/external communications.
• Develop continuous improvement programs for environmental performance.
• Supervise consultants and staff delivering environmental services.
