Bridgestone Bloomington seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer to assure ongoing plant compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and corporate guidelines, including air, wastewater, storm water and hazardous waste.

The role leads permitting, data collection, inspections, and continuous improvement programs, collaborating with multiple departments to support production while advancing environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 3 years with a master’s; or PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Responsabilités

• Plant-wide disposal activities ranging from routine waste streams to spills.
• Understand plant processes and devise safe, cost-effective waste collection, transport and disposal.
• Knowledge of air (Title V), waste (RCRA), water (SPCC & SWPPP) regulations and applicable disposal rules.
• Coordinate emergency response for spills with teams such as emergency, fire, and spill responders.
• Collaborate with departments to align environmental plans with production changes.
• Maintain uninterrupted plant function while ensuring environmental compliance.
• Support permitting strategy and project execution.
• Prepare reports and conduct inspections for internal and external customers.
• Oversee staff and consultants on environmental compliance and projects.
• Set schedules and methods for providing regulatory and environmental services.
