Job summary

CertainTeed is seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Manager for a high-volume manufacturing plant. You will lead engineering and maintenance to ensure safe operations, reliability, and continuous improvement, driving World Class Manufacturing (WCM) strategies and capital/reliability projects.

You will develop high-performing teams, partner with Production, EHS, Quality, and Corporate Engineering to support 24/7 operations and deliver safety, quality, and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
• 7+ years experience in industrial manufacturing with progressive responsibility in maintenance, reliability, or engineering roles
• 3+ years of people leadership experience leading engineers, supervisors, planners, and technical staff
• Hands-on experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance systems
• Proven capability in root cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of sustainable corrective actions
• Experience managing capital and non-capital engineering projects, including equipment installation and commissioning
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems, maintenance planning/scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical, and process)

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and compliance initiatives across the engineering and maintenance functions
• Drive maintenance strategy to improve reliability and asset performance
• Manage capital and non-capital projects from concept to commissioning
• Provide direct leadership to engineers, supervisors, and technicians
• Oversee budgets for maintenance and engineering activities
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and Corporate Engineering
