Job summary

Leidos Engineering seeks an experienced Project Lead to direct the engineering design of a high-profile plant controller and SCADA program for a large hybrid energy facility in the ERCOT market. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and serve as the technical voice to the EPC client and vendors throughout design to commissioning.

The role requires 8+ years in electric power engineering, strong leadership, and hands-on ability with voltage/VAR regulation and interconnection standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in electric power engineering with multi-disciplinary team leadership.
• Experience with plant-level control functions and interconnection requirements.
• Ability to interpret power system study results and apply them to design.
• Strong communication and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner of plant control and SCADA design across the project lifecycle.
• Direct engineering leads for controls, SCADA/HMI, OT networking, and cybersecurity.
• Develop requirements, use cases, and control narratives for plant-level functions.
• Coordinate with vendors and utilities to resolve technical conflicts.
• Lead factory acceptance testing and site commissioning support.
• Represent Leidos in design reviews and client meetings.
• Mentor engineers and support turnover training.
