Job summary

National Carwash Solutions seeks a seasoned Plant Controller for the Grimes, IA plant (Des Moines area). You will lead the month-end close, standard costing, inventory counts and internal controls, partnering with operations to drive performance.

The position requires 8+ years in accounting/finance, strong ERP knowledge (NetSuite preferred) and the ability to mentor a small team during an ERP transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in the accounting/finance field.
• Strong knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Flexibility in a fast-paced environment; strong leadership and communication skills.
• Finance experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key finance and accounting partner to Grimes plant leadership and operations teams.
• Own the month-end close process and journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting (MBRs and Bridge Analysis).
• Lead deployment and oversight of the standard costing system across the plant and ERP platform.
• Analyze standard cost variances and drive corrective action with operations.
• Oversee periodic inventory counts and resolve variances.
• Support annual financial statement audits and internal audits.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and procedures.
• Support NetSuite implementation and broader ERP transformation.
• Partner on capital expenditure tracking and project accounting.
