Job summary

National Carwash Solutions, Inc. seeks a seasoned Plant Controller for the Grimes, Iowa plant (Des Moines area).

You will partner with operations and leadership to oversee general accounting, close and standard costing for the Grimes site, supporting the Equipment division. You will own month-end close, manage standard costing across the plant ERP, analyze variances, oversee inventory counts, support audits, strengthen internal controls, and lead a small accounting team while collaborating with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred
• 8+ years in accounting/finance
• Experience with ERP systems
• Budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting
• Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
• Proven leadership and management skills
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Preferred, finance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key finance and accounting business partner to Grimes plant leadership and operations teams.
• Own the month‑end close process for the Grimes plant, including journal entries, reconciliations and reporting.
• Lead deployment and oversight of the standard costing system across the plant and ERP platform.
• Analyze and report on standard cost variances and drive corrective action.
• Oversee periodic and annual physical inventory counts and resolve variances.
• Support the annual financial statement audit and internal audits.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures.
• Support NetSuite implementation and ERP transformation related to plant accounting.
• Partner with management on capital expenditure tracking and project accounting.
• Prepare and present monthly financial results and KPIs to leadership.
• Lead and mentor a small plant accounting team.
