Job summary

National Carwash Solutions is seeking a seasoned Plant Controller for the Grimes, IA plant (Des Moines area). The role oversees all general accounting, close and standard costing for the Grimes facility, supporting the largest Equipment division and coordinating with other plants.

It requires leadership of a small accounting team and collaboration with operations and corporate finance. The plant operates a NetSuite-based environment during a company-wide IT transformation, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA/MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting/finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
• Experience with budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key finance and accounting partner to Grimes plant leadership and operations teams to support production, quality and operational decisions.
• Own the month-end close process including journal entries, reconciliations and MBR/Bridge reporting.
• Lead deployment and oversight of the standard costing system across the plant and ERP platform.
• Analyze standard cost variances and partner with operations to drive corrective action.
• Oversee cycle counts and annual physical inventories; resolve variances.
• Support annual financial statements audits and internal audits; ensure documentation of key controls.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures at the plant.
• Support NetSuite implementation and IT/ERP transformation related to plant accounting and costing.
• Partner with management on capital expenditure tracking and project accounting.
• Prepare and present monthly financial results and cost trends to leadership.
• Lead and mentor a small plant accounting team.
