Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a senior accounting leader for our manufacturing site in Florida. You will own the accuracy of site financial results and partner with the Plant Manager and leadership to drive close and reporting.

You will lead plant costing, inventory, fixed assets, capital projects, and cost accounting, establishing controls as we scale from development to high-rate production, and mentor the site accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Proven plant controllership or manufacturing accounting leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, standard costing and variances.
• Ability to partner with Operations, Engineering, and plant leadership to understand operational drivers and solve complex financial issues.
• Experience building accounting processes and internal controls in a growing manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior accounting leader for the manufacturing site, owning the accuracy and integrity of site financial results and partnering closely with the Plant Manager and site leadership.
• Lead plant accounting and close activities across manufacturing costs, inventory, fixed assets, capital projects, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Own manufacturing and cost accounting, including standard costs, labor and overhead, work in process, inventory valuation, and analysis of production and manufacturing variances.
• Establish strong financial controls and disciplined processes across inventory, production reporting, purchasing, receiving, fixed assets, capital expenditures, and other plant operations.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting to translate manufacturing activity into accurate financial insights and improve business decisions.
• Build and strengthen the accounting infrastructure needed to support the transition from development and low-rate production to repeatable, rate-based manufacturing, while leading and developing the site accounting team.
