Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a senior accounting leader to own the site’s financial results and drive controllership across manufacturing costs, inventory, fixed assets, and capital projects. You will partner with Plant Manager, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to translate activity into actionable financial insights.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including manufacturing.
• Proven plant controllership or site accounting leadership in a capital-intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, fixed assets, and capital-project accounting.
• Ability to partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and plant leadership to translate activity into financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior accounting leader for the manufacturing site, owning the accuracy and integrity of site financial results.
• Lead plant accounting and close activities across manufacturing costs, inventory, fixed assets, capital projects, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Own manufacturing and cost accounting, including standard costs, labor and overhead, work in process, inventory valuation, and analysis of variances.
• Establish strong financial controls and disciplined processes across inventory, production reporting, purchasing, receiving, fixed assets, and capital expenditures.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting to translate manufacturing activity into financial insights.
• Build and strengthen the accounting infrastructure to support transition to repeatable manufacturing and lead the site accounting team.
