Job summary

Johns Manville, located in Cleburne, TX, is seeking a Senior Electrical and Controls Engineer to lead medium‑voltage projects and electrical control system implementations at the Cleburne plant. This role covers scoping, design, cost estimates, and end‑to‑end project execution within a manufacturing environment.

You will develop specifications, justify projects, coordinate with suppliers, and mentor junior staff while ensuring safety and compliance with NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 5 years in electrical/control systems engineering.
• Demonstrated electrical and control system capabilities.
• Proficiency with Allen‑Bradley PLC and HMI applications.
• Strong project management skills.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E for electrical safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform power and electrical control systems engineering for projects.
• Prepare and review electrical specifications for equipment and processes.
• Coordinate with Corporate Electrical Group on standards and specifications.
• Support manufacturing operations and implement electrical safety initiatives.
• Provide project management and oversight from initiation to completion.
• Manage budgets, schedules, scopes, deliverables, and reporting.
• Oversee external engineering resources and contractors as needed.
• Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
