Job summary

Santa Fe County is seeking a Senior Planning Team Leader to take the lead on diverse planning projects, supervise a team, and guide strategy, policies, and programs. The position requires substantial experience in urban planning, strong supervisory skills, and the ability to manage complex projects and interdepartmental coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant field as listed in the posting.
• Five years of work experience in urban/regional planning or related field.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Ability to obtain required certifications as stated.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, plans work, evaluates performance, and approves leave and timesheets.
• Oversees planning for the team and provides training and technical support.
• Develops and reviews planning policies, procedures, and ordinances.
• Prepares reports, presents to county bodies, and represents the county at meetings.
• Manages project scope, budgets, and professional services agreements.
