Job summary

Workday is seeking a Senior Solution Consultant – Planning to join our Planning Presales team supporting large enterprise diversified industries. You will be a planning SME credible with CFOs, translating complex problems into compelling vision and solution stories.

You’ll guide customers across FP&A, workforce, and operational planning, leading discovery with executive stakeholders and delivering high-impact demonstrations of Workday Adaptive Planning and the broader Workday platform.

Qualifications

• Significant presales, consulting, or finance experience focused on planning, forecasting, or analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and present to executive audiences (VP/C-level), and lead discovery and solutioning.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise planning tools (Workday Adaptive Planning or similar) in FP&A, workforce, and operational planning.
• Proven presentation and storytelling skills to structure a narrative and deliver high-energy demos.
• Strong commercial acumen and selling instincts to map value and influence deal outcomes.
• Interest in AI and analytics with credibility on how AI augments planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive discovery and strategy with CFOs and finance leaders to understand business models and priorities.
• Design and deliver demonstrations tailored to large DI enterprises showing value across FP&A, workforce, and operational planning.
• Tell a compelling value story connecting outcomes to Workday’s planning and AI capabilities.
• Position Workday as a trusted advisor with best practices in enterprise planning and performance management.
• Showcase AI in context and address customer questions and ideas during demos.
• Collaborate with Sales to shape opportunity strategy, including qualification, discovery, and demo plans.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, value assessments, workshops, and executive briefings.
• Represent Workday at events and contribute to planning thought leadership.
