Job summary

Workday is seeking a Senior Solution Consultant – Planning to join our Planning Presales team supporting large enterprise diversified industries. You will be a planning SME credible with CFOs, translating complex problems into compelling vision and solution stories.

You’ll apply expertise in planning, forecasting, and analytics to guide FP&A, workforce, and operational planning, leading executive discovery and high-impact demos that showcase Workday Adaptive Planning and the broader platform.

Qualifications

• Extensive presales or finance experience focused on planning, forecasting, or analytics.
• Ability to engage and present to executive audiences (VP/C-level) and lead discovery.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise planning tools in FP&A, workforce and operational planning.
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills to deliver high-energy demos.
• Commercial acumen with selling instincts and value-based positioning.
• Interest in AI and analytics and ability to discuss their impact on planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive discovery and strategy with CFOs and finance leaders to understand business models and priorities.
• Design and deliver tailored demonstrations for large DI enterprises across FP&A, workforce, and operational planning.
• Tell a value story linking outcomes to Workday planning and AI capabilities with the account team.
• Position Workday as a trusted advisor by sharing best practices in planning and performance management.
• Showcase AI capabilities within planning contexts and address customer questions thoughtfully.
• Collaborate with Sales to shape opportunity strategy, qualification, and demo approaches.
• Support RFP/RFI responses, value assessments, and executive briefings with customer references.
• Represent Workday at events and speak credibly about planning transformation.
• Mentor peers on demo content and planning trends; travel up to 50% as needed.
