Job summary

An experienced Planning Manager opportunity to lead the planning function across a portfolio of groundworks, civil engineering and reinforced concrete frame projects in the South East. You will oversee development and management of construction programmes, methodologies and sequencing, ensuring robust planning strategies across the business.

You will work closely with senior management, contracts managers and delivery teams to deliver accurate schedules, extensions of time where required and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a senior planning position in civil engineering or groundworks.
• Proven ability to develop and manage programmes across multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks, drainage, foundations and reinforced concrete construction.
• Experience with planning software: Asta, Powerproject or Primavera P6.
• Relevant construction or civil engineering qualification beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning activities across multiple groundworks, civil engineering, infrastructure and reinforced concrete frame projects.
• Develop tender construction programmes from preconstruction through to project completion.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction to develop tender programmes and sequencing strategies.
• Review live project programmes, identify delays and opportunities to improve delivery.
• Provide strategic planning advice to senior management and operational teams.
• Mentor and develop members of the planning team to maintain high standards.
