Qualifications

• Degree/HND/HNC in Construction / Engineering.
• All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards where site-based work is required.

Experience and Skills

• Solid background in planning for construction projects and a strong understanding of the pre-construction and tendering process.
• Planning experience for a wide range of Build Contracting projects.
• Competence in appropriate software (e.g., Primavera / Asta Power Project).
• Experience from preconstruction and tendering.
• Clear understanding of commercial and contractual forms of contract.
• Knowledge of Safety Management.
• Knowledge of Environmental Management.
• Input into setting the Project Planning Policy.
• Provide adequate and timely contract planning information to the Pre-Construction & Project Management Teams.
• Provide programme schedules as aids to controlling the Project through its life cycle.
• Provide information on the progress and status of the Project to enable schedule updates.
• Provide detailed schedules relating to subcontracts to eliminate project interface conflicts and ensure resources arrive on time and at the correct location.
• Provide labour cost/resource profiles and schedules over the duration of the Project based on detailed estimates, budgets, and forecasts to completion (including KPIs).
• Forecast potential problem areas and propose solutions for preventative and corrective actions.
• Assessment of variation events.
• Manage supply chain programmes in line with contract requirements.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required.
