Job summary

City of Seattle’s Human Services Department seeks two experienced human services planning supervisors to support Aging and Disability Services. These roles supervise planners, manage budgets, and lead planning processes, community engagement, and grant management to improve services for older adults, caregivers, and people with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises planners, provides direction, training, and reviews work.
  • Prepares and monitors the planning unit's operating budget; supports budget development.
  • Plans and manages workplans, sets goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
  • Participates in department and division management and policy decisions.
  • Leads public involvement activities, including meetings and community engagement.
  • Prepares written materials: briefing papers, recommendations, policies, and reports.
  • Manages grant relationships and related funding as applicable.
