City of Seattle is seeking a seasoned Planning Manager to supervise planners, set priorities, train staff, and guide urban development initiatives in a politically complex environment.
You will prepare and monitor the team operation budget, develop workplans, and advance equitable policies that serve diverse communities.
The role requires four years of planning experience, leadership capabilities, strong communication, and the ability to navigate partnerships with city, county, and state agencies.
Education:
baccalaureate degree in planning, urban design, environmental studies, public administration
Experience:
Requires four years of experience in planning and research related to land use, urban economics, human services, environmental issues, conservation; or other work directly related to City planning and development activities; including one year of lead project management experience.
OR:
An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position duties.
