Job summary

Hawaii State Department of Education is seeking a Planner VI to lead planning studies, set goals, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams across statewide projects. The incumbent will develop comprehensive plans, manage work plans, and collaborate with agencies while ensuring alignment with budget and policy objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and read/interpret complex written material.
• Ability to solve complex problems logically and systematically.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and conducts planning studies.
• Develops planning goals, work plans and schedules including financial and other requirements.
• Assigns and evaluates work of planners and subordinates where applicable.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other agencies.
• Develops project prospectus and presents plans to groups and individuals.
