The Fayette Chamber of Commerce seeks a Planning Professional to perform professional planning duties supporting department operations in Peachtree City, GA. The role focuses on customer service, information dissemination, and coordination of development-related processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining planning ordinances, assisting with permit software, preparing staff reports, presenting to boards, and coordinating GIS, with exposure to comprehensive plans and development guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, Public Administration, Geography, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in planning, zoning, community development, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in supervising individuals, including assigning tasks and ensuring project completion.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia.

Responsabilités

• Promotes excellent customer service and provides information on planning matters to citizens, developers, staff, and officials.
• Maintains up-to-date Planning & Development information, website, brochures, and applications.
• Assists with deployment of online permit application software and addresses issues.
• Maintains knowledge of City Codes, Zoning, and Land Development Ordinances.
• Prepares and presents staff reports and recommendations for Planning Commission and City Council.
• Coordinates updating of Comprehensive Plan, CIP, and other plans as needed.
• Assists in processing rezonings, annexations, site plans, variances, and related reviews.
• Interprets and communicates zoning and development requirements to the public and developers.
• Coordinates GIS maintenance and enhancement for the City.
