Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Senior Planner to drive detailed scheduling and optimization across complex projects. The role blends data-driven insights with strategic planning and cross-functional leadership in a hybrid in-office setting.

You’ll deliver earned value analyses, forecast performance, and integrate cost data for robust reporting while guiding risk mitigation and change management to support critical infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8–10 years of experience in project planning and controls.
  • Expertise in Primavera P6; familiarity with MS Project, Excel, Power BI, and Deltek Acumen.
  • Strong grasp of CPM, EVA, and schedule risk analysis.
  • Proven success managing schedules for large, complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

  • Lead planning across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Deliver earned value analysis and performance forecasting.

  • Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure accurate project updates.
  • Present dashboards and executive summaries to senior stakeholders.
  • Support change management and claims analysis with time impact assessments.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
