Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Grid Integration Senior Project Manager to lead multi-million-dollar EPC programs in North America. Based in Raleigh, NC, the role requires relocation and offers a comprehensive relocation package.

You will manage high-voltage substation, transmission, and utility-scale EPC projects from award through commissioning, partnering with engineering, procurement, construction, and utility customers. A PMP is preferred and relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of project management experience in complex industrial, utility, infrastructure, or EPC environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-voltage substation projects, transmission projects, or utility-scale EPC programs.
• PMP certification preferred.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex EPC substation and grid integration projects

• Drive coordination across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and supply chain teams

• Utilize Earned Value Management and key performance metrics to drive execution excellence
• Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary escalation point for project delivery
• Support contract negotiation, change order management, claims mitigation, and commercial strategy
• Provide executive-level reporting and communication to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations, procedures, and quality standards

Your Background

We're especially interested in leaders who have successfully delivered large utility, transmission, or substation EPC programs.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
• 8+ years of project management experience in complex industrial, utility, infrastructure, or EPC environments
• Demonstrated experience leading high-voltage substation projects, transmission projects, or utility-scale EPC programs
• Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, contract management, and risk mitigation
• Experience managing customer relationships on large capital projects
• Prior people leadership experience within a matrixed or multinational organization preferred
• PMP certification preferred
• Strong technical, commercial, and leadership capabilities
• Must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
