• AICP level certification is required and used to lead planning initiatives.
• Experience updating comprehensive plans and reviewing zoning actions.
• Strong written and oral communication for board presentations.
• Knowledge of Florida statutes and administrative rules governing planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning projects and studies as a project leader for the division.
• Provide staff assistance to boards and commissions and coordinate with departments.
• Review site plans and land development regulations for compliance.
• Prepare memos, letters and budget/submittals for the Planning Director.
• Maintain GIS maps and databases to support planning analyses.
