Job summary

The City of Ocala seeks an IT GIS Analyst - Growth Management to oversee GIS operations within Growth Management. This role provides advanced technical expertise, project management, and user support across divisions, focusing on GIS data management, system integration, and workflow optimization.

Candidate will work with Planning and Growth Management staff to ensure effective use of Esri tools, ArcGIS Online, and data analysis, supporting long-range planning and comprehensive plan updates.

Qualifications

• Requires at least an Associate degree in Planning or GIS or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of paid GIS experience in planning or related field.
• Proficiency with Esri tools and ArcGIS Online administration is expected.
• Strong communication and training capabilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and facilitate GIS training programs for city staff.
• Oversee GIS data management and citywide data sets for planning.
• Coordinate GIS projects and system integrations across departments.
• Provide advanced user support for GIS applications and tools.
• Maintain SOPs and documentation for growth-related GIS functions.
