Qualifications

• 5-10 years reviewing plans for conformance to California Building Standards Codes.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• PE California License required; ICC/ CASp certifications or equivalents as needed.
• Proficiency with standard engineering software and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical review of construction documents for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.
• Assess life-safety, structural, and code compliance using engineering judgment.
• Read maps, diagrams, and specifications for code conformance and coordination.
• Develop and present written and oral reports; interact with agencies and clients.
• Stay current on codes and participate in ongoing professional development.
