Responsibilities include evaluating calculations, calculations, and reports, applying engineering judgment for life-safety and structural reviews, and interacting with clients and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college.
• Current PE California License is required.
• ICC Building Plans Examiner or CASp Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California Building Standards Codes.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of California Building Standards Codes and Referenced Standards.
• Technical review of construction documents for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects.
• Review drawings, calculations, soils reports for conformance with CA codes and references.
• Use engineering judgment to assess design adequacy for life-safety and structural reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of construction inspection and plan review protocols and procedures.
• Read maps and drawings and evaluate compliance with codes and ordinances.
• Prepare and present oral and written reports.
