Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a licensed Virginia attorney to lead plaintiff-side workers' compensation litigation in the Richmond area. You will manage cases from intake through resolution, develop strategy, take and defend depositions, draft pleadings, and negotiate settlements with insurers.

You will collaborate with medical providers and experts to maximize case value, while guiding clients with clear, trusted advice.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar license or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• 1+ years of workers' compensation, personal injury, insurance defense, medical malpractice, or comparable litigation experience.
• Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
• Excellent legal writing, advocacy, and communication abilities.
• Organized, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
• Passion for representing injured individuals and advocating on their behalf.

Responsibilities

• Manage plaintiff-side workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and build strong, evidence-driven cases.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and hearing materials.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Represent clients before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Partner with medical providers, vocational experts, and other professionals to maximize case value.
• Counsel clients throughout the litigation process with clear communication and trusted guidance.
• Work closely with experienced legal support staff to efficiently move cases forward.
