Job summary

Confidential Employer is seeking a full-time associate attorney to join its plaintiff-side personal injury practice. The role involves handling cases from intake to resolution, with opportunities to argue in Virginia courts and take/defend depositions.

You will work closely with experienced litigators to achieve favorable settlements and develop trial skills. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and have 1+ year of plaintiff or defense personal injury litigation experience.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Bar license is required.
• 1+ year of personal injury attorney experience.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
• Manage an active caseload involving motor vehicle accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, and other injury claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions and prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Negotiate with insurance companies to obtain favorable settlements.
• Communicate regularly with clients and provide trusted legal guidance throughout the case.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Appear in Virginia courts as needed and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
