TORKLAW in Irvine, CA is seeking a litigation attorney to join our plaintiff personal injury team. You’ll own cases from discovery through trial, draft pleadings, manage depositions, and collaborate with a seasoned trial team to secure meaningful results for seriously injured clients.

Ideal candidates have a California bar license, 2–3 years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred), strong writing and advocacy skills, and the ability to manage a caseload independently while

Qualifications

• Active license in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 2-3 years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred).
• Hands-on experience taking and defending depositions.
• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently.

Responsibilities

• Draft complaints, demand letters, written discovery and responses for plaintiff-side matters.
• Handle all aspects of law and motion in state and federal court.
• Take depositions of defendants, physicians, and experts.
• Prepare clients for deposition and trial; defend depositions of plaintiffs.
• Coordinate with retained experts to develop case theory and damages.
• Review medical records and identify injury causation issues.
• Develop case strategy and execute it independently.
• Attend hearings, conferences, mediations, and settlements.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with clients and team.
