Jobot is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney for a national plaintiff firm in Oakland, CA. The role covers all phases of litigation, from filing to appeal, with substantial court appearances and client-facing responsibilities.

Ideal candidates hold a JD and have at least 5 years of trial experience, with strong research and negotiation skills. A high-volume caseload and ability to work under pressure are required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years in litigation.
• Experience in trial, personal injury, asbestos, and legal research.
• Proficient in drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Excellent courtroom presence and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of litigation, from initiation through trial and appeal.
• Represent clients in court and make regular court appearances.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on current laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests and other legal documents.
• Manage cases, including investigating claims, evaluating damages, and negotiating settlements.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other team members to ensure efficient case management.
• Provide exceptional client service, including maintaining regular communication and updates on case progress.
