Job summary

Eiden Systems Consulting (ESC) is seeking a PKI and Cyber Security Engineer to support enterprise PKI operations and DoD cybersecurity initiatives for the Defense Logistics Agency. The role focuses on CA infrastructure, OCSP services, certificate management, and cloud integration.

This role supports critical systems by ensuring secure certificate services, high availability, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with DoD security requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field preferred; professional experience or certifications may substitute.
• IAT Level II certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Azure, MCSE or AWS CCP are advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with certificate services, issuance/lifecycle management, and OCSP infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows Server environments and AD DS/AD CS.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, implement, optimize, and sustain enterprise PKI infrastructure (CA servers, OCSP responders/repeaters).
• Configure, deploy, and maintain PKI technologies (AD CS, NDES, SCEP) and certificate management.
• Support PKI/OCSP integration in cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Develop and maintain certificate issuance for SSL/TLS, device, code-signing, and other certs.
• Integrate PKI with enterprise apps and systems requiring certificate-based access.
• Ensure high availability, DR capabilities for PKI infrastructure.
• Perform PKI troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation.
• Apply patches/updates to maintain secure operations and STIG/IAVM/NIST/FIPS compliance.
• Develop SOPs, runbooks, COOPs, and key recovery docs.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, admins, vendors on PKI projects.
• Support PKI middleware configuration, testing, upgrades, and issue escalation.
• Contribute to PKI modernization and DoD PKI requirements.
