Job summary

Piedmont Service Group, based in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Piping Superintendent to lead piping operations across multiple projects. You will oversee manpower planning, scheduling, field coordination, and ensure work is safe, on schedule, and within budget.

This role requires deep experience in industrial piping, strong leadership, and ability to manage isometrics, P&IDs, and collaboration with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial piping experience with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience managing multiple projects and allocating manpower efficiently.
• Ability to develop manpower schedules, labor forecasts, and resource plans.
• Proven ability to lead meetings with clients, contractors, engineers, and PMs.
• Strong knowledge of isometrics, P&IDs, specs, and construction schedules.
• Excellent client-facing communication and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Supervise piping crew activities on site, including crew leaders, welders, pipefitters, and helpers.
• Plan and coordinate daily piping tasks in line with project milestones.
• Interpret and ensure compliance with isometrics, P&IDs, and specifications.
• Monitor progress and ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, safety personnel, and other trades.
• Track materials, tools, and equipment for daily operations.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safety regulations and policies.
• Ensure testing and inspection of installed piping systems.
• Maintain records of manpower, material usage, and progress.
• Troubleshoot issues and minimize downtime; train and mentor junior staff.
