Job summary

IPS - Integrated Project Services, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Lead Piping Designer to join the Process Piping Department. The role can be based in multiple U.S. offices, including NC, and requires leading piping design for life sciences facilities.

You will develop 3D models and 2D layouts, select GMP piping components, and coordinate with suppliers to complete design packages while ensuring quality and timely delivery. Strong leadership and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in piping design and related mechanical design.
• Technical or Associate degree in mechanical engineering design.
• Proven experience with piping design software and generating piping iso drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work independently on conceptual and detailed design projects under PM or Director.
• Coordinate design with other disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure design intent is reflected in documents.
• Prepare piping plans, equipment layout, and section views in 3D and 2D drawings; produce material take-offs.
• Coordinate project document completion with clients and other design professionals; support staff development as needed.
